When my nephew started to utter his first words some 15 years ago, calling me Aunty Annalisa was just too much to tackle. It’s tough for any kid to get their toothless tongue around long words. So he started to narrow my name down and so, came up with “Isha”. It has stuck with me to this day. As usual, hearing your full name after this shortened name would mean I did something wrong. “What did I do??...I can fix it!” My friends and family call me ‘Ish’ and so that its how it will stay.
I must acquaint you with who I am a little. I am a dinky-di Australian Italian ......with a twist! I was born in Australia to Italian parents. We moved to Italy when I was 6 months old and I was 9 when my family decided to move back to Australia. I have been here ever since.
Growing up I had a love and a vision for acting but never really knew what it all entailed. I think that everyone hits that wall in the beginning. I have dreamt of being an actress as long as I can remember and it’s all I have ever wanted to do. It’s my beginning, my end, my destiny! I will accomplish. There is nothing more exhilarating than following my dreams and seeing them through whether I am successful or not! Even as an actor you need to have well defined and realistic goals and achieve them one by one.
Until next time, Ciao!
